Rotor blade knives have been in the market for some time now and is not a new idea. The problem is that most such knives are made from cheap steel and feature plastic handles. But this is not the case with the J&V Rotor!
The Rotor is made from top quality high carbon rust resistant steel, hardened to workable 59HRC. The handle is made Bubinga timber and it comes with a handmade leather sheath. The knife is classed as a fixed blade as both blades are a part of the same piece and ones one blade is closed into the handle, the second blade is exposed. The 2nd, blade (hook blade) of the Rotor is a handy little tool, not only ideal for hunters, but it is also a great utility tool, for anyone involved in the great outdoors sports and activities.
Steel: European MV-58 high carbon rust resistant steel. Similar to 12C27 steel.
Handle: Bubinga timber
J&V Adventure knives is a relatively new brand of knives, which are entirely hand made in Spain. Although the knife primary knife maker of the company, Juan Martenis, has been making custom made knives under their own individual custom lable since 1985, the J&V brand itself is quite young and only started operation in the last couple of years.
Knives manufactured by J&V are classed as handmade production knives, where all the work is done by hand except each models is manufactured in series and batches, hence in a production manner. J&V knives is a fairly niche brand, therefore their range of models is somewhat limited, but what they do make is finished to a very high standard and only the top steel grande and materials are used for the production of the knives. J&V Knives are great value for money, if you are a collector or looking for a serious outdoor knife that is not owned by every other hunter around.
