DESCRIPTION

 

With the Katran, Kizlyar has moved away from the traditional Russian style blade, hence this knife somewhat resembles the modern American style tactical knives. The thick 4.2 mm drop point blade is ideal fro chopping and the slight reverse curve give it some unique cutting and slashing abilities.

The handle of this knife is made from durable black/green micarta and is contoured to provide both comfort and excellent grip. The base of the pommel features a protruding lanyard hole, which doubles as a glass/ice breaker.

This design of the blade is quite versatile and can be used for variety of outdoor tasks, from basic camp and hunting duties, to serious chopping of firewood and also as a combat knives for military personnel.
